Free the God
Listen! Listen! Listen!
We have a demanding task
at our hands.
God has been enslaved
by his devotees
and we have to
set Him free.
Chiseled into the finery
of temples
enclosed within its four walls
He is unable -
unable to express His artistry.
Impaled on the spire
of mosques
making Him suffocate
He is unable -
unable to breathe life into the world.
Engraved into stained glasses
of Cathedrals
limiting Him to inches
He is unable -
unable to break the limits.
His voice
muffled
by the lifeless shrieks
of the preachers and priests.
His message
encaged
in the holy books and the outer looks.
Is it the wind gushing
or His muffled voice?
Is it the earth moving
or His encaged message?
For centuries
we worshipped the dead
prayed to the one castrated.
For a moment
let's worship the living
pray to the one breathing
For centuries
we kept Him tethered
to a location,
a building,
a book.
For a moment
let HIM burst out
burst out through the Heart
into the veins
into the brains
into the eyes
into the smiles
into the hairs
into the minds
into the open
into the skies.
